EGA was founded in 2021 to bring golfers of different skill-levels together on an even playing field.
2020 was our first Ryder Cup-style, team match play tournament – we decided to handicap all the matches to include all of our friends, no matter if they were All-American college golfers, or complete newbies.
We knew right away, that if we could keep track of everyone’s handicap, we could have a lot of fun golfing with a large group of people.
We focused on building a flexible structure that enables people with different schedules to all join the golf fun on their own time.
It was impossible to get our schedules to line up for a weekly golf league – even for just a few of us!
Like most successful entrepreneurs, we just built something that we wanted for ourselves.
Even though none of us were really that good at golf, we decided to have our own Fed-ex Cup-Style annual competition and award players points for playing golf.
The EGA Tour Cup was the solution
